Allegiant air announced new direct flights from Owensboro to Orlando.

Allegiant Air announced new nonstop jet service from Owensboro to Orlando. beginning Feb. 18, 2009. The low–fare carrier will celebrate the convenient new service to the Sunshine State, with introductory fares as low as $69* each way.
Allegiant Air president & CEO, said "This is an exciting new addition for our airline and our customers as we launch the only nonstop, scheduled air service
out of Owensboro."
The new flights to Orlando will operate twice weekly, with service Wednesday and Saturday. Flights will depart Owensboro–Daviess County Regional Airport at 9:20 a.m. arriving in Orlando Sanford International Airport at 12:20 p.m. Flights leaving Orlando will depart at 7:35 a.m. arriving in Owensboro at 8:40 a.m.
